Cookies with Santa: December 17
Kids come have cookies and visit with Santa! Santa will be at the Fair Oaks Library Saturday 12/17 from 10 am to 11:30 am. This event also includes story time and a Christmas craft project. Space is limited so make sure you call the Fair Oaks Library at 916-264-2920 to reserve a space.
Christmas in the Village: December 3
Christmas in the Village is an old-fashioned holiday craft fair and more sponsored by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce. The Sidewalk Craft Fair runs from 10 a.m. until dusk with carolling and other activities happening throughout the day. Highlights include a visit from Santa at the American River Bank from 11 - 1, a presentation of the play "Winnie the Pooh" at Veteran's Memorial Amphitheater at 2pm, our fun Christmas Parade right through the Village at 4pm, and our traditional Tree Lighting at dusk in Village Park.

Safe Halloween Carnival: October 29
The Halloween Carnival is a free family event, held on Saturday, October 29, at Bella Vista High School from noon until 4:00p.m. The carnival includes carnival games, magic and dance shows, a pie eating contest and the return of the popular "Trunk-or-Treat" decorated vehicle line with treats.
Adults and children of all ages are welcome to attend. Costumes are always welcome, but not required. There is a $2.00 unlimited bounce pass to use all the bounce attractions, which include a jumbo jet, an obstacle course, a giant slide, a castle bounce house, and a sports cage. On October 31, Children 12 and under can also participate in Safe Halloween Trick-or-Treating.
Fair Oaks Dog Walk: October 1
The Fair Oaks Dog Walk features a beautiful walk along the scenic American River, free treats and water for dogs and humans, live music, many dog contests (dog/human look-a-like, pooch smooch, doggy limbo, and many more), exciting vendor booths, and great raffle prizes.
Event starts at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday October 1st and runs throughout the morning. For more information, and to register online, visit the Fair Oaks Dog Walk website or call the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce.
Fair Oaks Metric Century Bike Ride: August 28
The Fair Oaks Metric Century is a local cycling event benefiting the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce and the Save the Bluffs Foundation. This is a fun, family-oriented activity featuring a well supported and safe route along the American River Bike Trail. In addition to the full 100K route, there are 30K and 75K route options available. Participants will be treated to a catered barbeque, music, and other fun bike oriented activities in Fair Oaks Park after the ride.

Blues in the Park: June 18
This is the sixth annual Blues Festival in beautiful Fair Oaks Park. This year promises to be even greater with special headliners, lots of activities, great food, crafts, and Sacramento’s Porsche 356 Club displaying their classics. Please visit the website for more details.

A Taste of Fair Oaks: June 3
The 12th annual A Taste of Fair Oaks will be held at North Ridge Country Club on Friday, June 3, 2005, from 6:00 until 10:00pm. Tickets are $40 per person, available at www.atasteoffairoaks.com, the Fair Oaks Chamber office or from any member of the Chamber's Board of Directors.
This year's event will feature a new addition of the World Market. There will be several exhibitors with food and other novelties. They will also feature some of the areas finest restaurants and wineries plus a special chef demonstration.
In addition, there will be the return of the $5,000 putting contest, an Art Auction, live music, and a Sports & Movie memorabilia auction provided by Art Thomas of the Oakland Raiders.
Fair Oaks Fiesta: April 30 - May 1
The Fair Oaks Fiesta, with this year's theme "Hometown Spirit," is one of the biggest events in the area. This annual event (held the first weekend in May) is absolutely FREE to the public and gives Fair Oaks and the surrounding communities a fun family event to call their own. Activities include Parade, Official Frog Jump, Diaper Derby, Toilet Bowl Race, Live Entertainment, Arts & Crafts booths, food, car show, Chuck-a-cluck, Sun Run, Kids Run, children's rides, games and so much more!
