Christmas in the Village: December 1

Start off the holiday season right by checking out the Fair Oaks Christmas in the Village on December 1, 2007. This fun-filled event for all ages starts at 11am and ends at dusk. There will be a Sidewalk Arts and Crafts Fair. Kids can visit Santa at the American River Bank from 11:30am onwards, watch the Winnie the Pooh Play at the Amphitheater at 2pm, witness the Holiday Parade at 4pm and Christmas tree lighting afterwards. There will also be all day activities such as Musical Performances by different groups, Make and Take Crafts for kids, Village Merchants store front displays to look at and refreshments all around.

Fair Oaks Dog Walk: October 6

The Fair Oaks Dog Walk features a beautiful walk along the scenic American River, free treats and water for dogs and humans, live music, many dog contests, exciting vendor booths, and great raffle prizes.

Concerts in the Park: Thursdays June 21 - September 6

Come out to Village Park in Fair Oaks and enjoy a live band every Thursday night until September. Bring the whole family, chairs or blankets, even a picnic dinner. There will be pizza, ice cream sundaes and root beer floats for sale. 7pm - 9pm. This yearly free concert series is brought to us by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce, the Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District, and the Fair Oaks Foundation for Leisure and Arts.

A Taste of Fair Oaks: June 8

A Taste of Fair Oaks is a Gala Evening of Gourmet Food, Vintage Wine, Hand Crafted Ales and Lagers, Fine Art, and live music. The 14th annual premiere event will be held at North Ridge Country Club on Friday, June 8, 2007, from 6:00 until 10:00pm. Tickets are $38 in advance or $45 per person at the door. Tickets may be purchased online at www.atasteoffairoaks.com, the Fair Oaks Chamber office or from any member of the Chamber's Board of Directors.

Chefs from Fair Oaks and neighboring area restaurants will present their favorite creations or house specialties for tasting. We are featuring foothill and local wineries and regional micro breweries, inviting them to pour samples of their wines and micro brew for guests to taste.

58th Annual Fair Oaks Spring Fest 2007:
May 5 and 6, 2007

Be sure to mark your calendars for the weekend of May 5 and 6, 2007, for the 58th Annual Fair Oaks Spring Fest (formerly Fiesta Days). This year's theme is "Rock and Roll", and this year is shaping up to be the most exciting Spring Fest ever. You don't want to miss it!

Saturday events include a Pancake Breakfast, the Parade through Fair Oaks Village, Frog Jumping Contest, a Bicycle Air Show, School Bands and the famous Toilet Bowl Race. Returning this year is the Children's Carnival with the admission one low price for the entire day! Sunday Events include a Pancake Breakfast, the annual Sun Run, the Car Show, and Dance Contest and 50's Musical Performer Look-a-Like competitions. 6th Annual Senior Citizen's Ball: March 18, 2007

Join us for the "Hot Dance of the Roaring 20's" at this year's Senior Citizen's Ball presented by the Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District and the Youth Advisory Board. In addition to music and dancing from 6-8:30pm, the night will include appetizers, desserts, pictures, and a raffle! Tickets are only $5 at the Park District Office and $8 at the door. Event is held at the Fair Oaks Community Clubhouse in the village of Old Fair Oaks.
